Spons (stylized as spons) is a recurring character on The Caddicarus Show. He is primarily used for the advertisement reads/sponsorship segments for his videos, hence the name spons. He is considered the main antagonist of the videos due to him usually causing some kind of bodily harm to those around him and being invasive, mainly by torturing Caddy in ways such as bursting out of his chest and giving him extreme paranoia and discomfort.

Appearance[]
The Kite's first appearance in The Pitiful World of Pixar Games
Spons is a kite-shaped character with a red base colouring, blue baby shoes, hands sticking out of his sides and a face resembling Caddy's in the middle of his body. While proportions are uncertain, Spons is possibly a bit larger than a human head (if counting the whole kite body). He moves around by floating.

First appearance of Spons in "The Painful World of Lego Games"
Second appearance of spons in "The Miserable World of Completing Crash 4"
Spons has been appearing since The Painful World of Lego Games. Originally he resembled Caddicarus' floating head. In The Miserable World of Completing Crash Bandicoot 4, he had a full body, and a sign on his shirt with the name of the sponsor. Due to unknown reasons, he somehow took on the form of the kite seen in The Pitiful World of Pixar Games, still selling sponsorships to this day.
The kite we see today was originally a completely different character, who appeared in The Pitiful World of Pixar Games. Their voice was pitched down to make them sound 'evil', their shoes were a different colour, and were attached by tape rather than superglue. The kite makes a cameo in the sponsor segment for that video, but doesn't declare himself as spons anywhere throughout it.
In The Exhausting World of Making a Caddicarus Video, Caddy revealed that any company wishing to sponsor his videos must agree to a contract clause allowing Spons to appear in the segment. Caddy further states that Spons has more power than us mortals could possibly imagine. He could kill us all but he chooses not to, because it's funny.
In The Insane World of Video Game Commercials, it is revealed that Spons has the power to transmit messages from the future through a radio in his nose.
In The Ripoff World of Crash Bandicoot Merchandise, it is revealed that Spons can get sick. He also claims that NHS is racist because they don't cover kites.
In The Scary World of Viral YouTube Horror Games, it is confirmed that he can be birthed through Sponsorship Eggs, and his mother lives in Yume Niki.
In I did it. Seriously. he appears in the film, kite, in which after being released from the bag, he murders Caddy with a knife.
In the many quote tweets by Caddy on Twitter, it's confirmed that Spons sells the fur coats of many animals, like dogs, cats, rabbits, quails and moles, and nails them on people's front doors.
Trivia[]
- Spons's kite-body was cut from the same sheet of cardboard that Caddy is seen hiding behind in The Comical World of the 287 WORST Game Reviews Ever.
- This same sheet of cardboard would also be used to make the Bill Clinton mask used in that same video.
- Spons's kite form was inspired by a similar effect in the TV series Gerbert, which Caddy tweeted a clip from in April of 2020. Caddy confirms this to be the case in a segment from The Collectible World of Caddicarus.
- In 2022, a fan of the show got a Spons tattoo, which Caddicarus later shared on his Instagram and Facebook.
- Caddy has it in contract that every company that wishes to sponsor him must accept that Spons is to appear during the sponsorship segment.
- He lives on Spon Lane.
- It is implied that Caddy is Spons's father, as he lays the egg that Spons hatches from in The Scary World of Viral Youtube Horror Games, and Spons calls him Dad in The Illegal World of Banned Video Games.
- While Spons's exact age is unknown, he is referred to by Caddy as a "millennial" in The Inhuman World of Completing Crash Bash 200%, which means he was born at some point between 1981 and 1996.
